Terms and Conditions
EXTENSION OF HIRE
Please note, it is essential that all vehicles are brought back on time.
The hire period is for a 24 hour period commencing at 8.00am. We are always
happy to extend the hire if we can, but the hirer's must ring before the hire ends.
DRIVING LICENCE
Hirer's must have held a full UK driving licence for at least 12 month. Please check all
endorsements with our office when booking
as some endorsements are not acceptable. New UK licence is issued in two parts and both must be produced.
AGE
Drivers aged between 25-70yrs with a clean licence are accepted. To drive a 7.5 tonne truck you
must have passed your test prior to 1/01/1997. If you have passed your test since then, you will
be restricted by law to just 3.5 tonnes.
FUEL
Vehicles leave our depot with a full tank of fuel. We request that vehicles are, wherever possible,
returned with a full tank. Any refuelling will be charged at the prevailing rate per litre + VAT.
AVAILABILITY
Roman Trucks will make every effort to supply the vehicle ordered. If we cannot do so, we shall offer
an acceptable alternative. We cannot accept liability for the consequences of our failure to do so.
INSURANCE
All prices quoted include fully comprehensive insurance and AA/Delta cover. There is an excess of £300 on all van hires (overhead damage £600). The excess on all 7.5 tonne vehicles is £600.
IDENTIFICATION
We require a current driving license, a credit/debit card and one other form of ID (i.e. utility bill/passport).
PAYMENT
Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro, Delta are all acceptable. Account facilities are available for longer term hire.
CONTRACT HIRE & LEASING
We can quote on contracts up to 36 months
OPERATORS LICENCE
It is the hirer's responsibility to obtain an Operators Licence, if using 7.5 Tonne vehicles (business users only).
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
We do not charge extra for additional drivers, but additional drivers MUST complete a proposal form
and produce their licence.
CONTINENTAL HIRE
All Roman Trucks hires are restricted to the UK mainland. Please note, this does not include Eire or N.Ireland.
ROUTINE CHECKS
Each hirer is held personally responsible for all safety and routine vehicle checks.
This includes, but it is not limited to checks on oil, water, tyres and lights.
PRICE CHANGES
All prices displayed on this website were correct at time of posting. Roman Trucks cannot guarantee the prices
published on this website are valid. Customers are advised to contact Roman Trucks for an accurate and current
price list. The Management reserve the right to adjust prices without prior notice.
TERMS
Roman Trucks reserve the right to modify their terms and conditions without notice.
Roman Trucks will not be held true to any prices or details in any of their published material (including this website).
